Getting Started FAQ
Use the questions and answers below to help you get started using SnapPages.
What is SnapPages and how does it work?
SnapPages provides a set of online tools that make it easy for you to build and manage a complete website. When you first login to the site you will notice that there are several different applications to choose from and that each one manages a differen part of your website. For instance if you want to edit the content on your web pages you will us the "My Pages" application but if you want to change your websites design, you will use the "My Theme" application. You might wonder why we have broken them up like this into seperate applications, but it actually makes the whole experience much easier to manage. Instead of blasting you with more functionality then you need, we seperate it out so you only have to worry about the part you are interested in.
What should I do first?
If you used the website wizard to setup your site, then most of the work is already done for you. The next thing you will want to do is to go in and change the content that is on the template pages that were created for you. To edit content, open up the My Pages application and then select the page you want to change and edit it.
If you didn't use the website wizard, then you might want to open up the My Themes application first to customize your websie theme, then go into the My Pages application to create and edit pages.
After I've created my website, how do I get it online?
You don't need to do anything to get your website online, it is all handled automatically for you. You can view your website at your own personal subdomain which is yourusername.snappages.com where "yourusername" is actually the username you signed up with. If some pages don't show up it's possible that you created them but then you never published them so they are still in your drafts folder. You can either edit a draft to publish it, or just drag and drop it into the other folders to quickly publish it.
